The
Iowa Basketball Coaches Association as selected its
annual Academic All State Basketball team for the 2005
season. This
team of 23 was selected from over 140 nominations.
To be nominated, the senior play must have a
minimum ACT composite
of 25, a grade point average of 3.0, and be in the top
25% of their senior class. The 2005 team boasts the following
team averages
: An ACT composite of 30.1 and a Grade Point Average of 4.0, with 16 being either number one or two in their
respective senior classes. In addition, as players, they average nearly 15 points per game.
