The
Iowa Basketball Coaches Association has selected its
annual Girls Academic All State Basketball team for
the 2005 season. The
year's team consists of 26 players who were selected
form a nomination pool of nearly 150.
The be nominated, a senior player must
have a minimum ACT of 25, a 3.0 GPA and be in the top
25% of her graduating class. This years's team boasts the following
team averages: An
ACT composite of 29.5 A Grade Point Average of 3.99,
with 19 of them being either number 1 or number 2 in
their respective classes.
In addition, as a team, they average
slightly over 10 points per game in scoring.
