Members of the IBCA should work together to promote, protect, and improve the game of basketball and the coaching profession in the State of Iowa. 

Pizza Ranch and the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) have recently announced the coaches for the Pizza Ranch All-Star Series.

The Northwest Iowa Girls’ co-coaches will be Reid Geerdes of George Little Rock and Kasey Krager of Sioux Central. The Southwest Girls’ co-coaches will be Richard Wettengel of Council Bluffs St. Alberts and Brad Baudler of ACGC. Northeast Iowa Girls’ co-coaches will be Andy Courtney of Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Donnie Kremer of Monticello. Southeast Iowa Girls’ co-coaches will be Stephanie Dacey of Williamsburg and Mendy McCreight of Winfield Mount Union.

The Northwest Iowa Boys’ co-coaches will be Evan Franzmeier of Storm Lake and Cody Harskamp of Unity Christian. The Southwest Boys’ co-coaches Trevor Mickelson of ADM and Joe Katich of Des Moines Roosevelt. Northeast Iowa Boys’ co-coaches will be Nick Trask of Mason City and Dan Knebel of Dunkerton. Southeast Iowa Boys’ co-coaches will be Jared Galpin of Solon and Collin Stark of Washington.

Each region selects two coaches and 12 players to represent their region.  Four alternate players are also selected in case of conflicts.  

Games will be held March 28, 2026, at Dallas Center-Grimes High school in Grimes.  First-round games kick off at 10:45 am for the girls and 12:00 noon for the boys. The consolation games and Championship games will commence at 2:45 pm (Girls) and 4:00 pm (Boys). 

Congratulations to Coaches on this prestigious honor. It is a well-deserved selection and represents their commitment to basketball and to the coaching profession. This selection represents a great opportunity for them to represent their program, school, and community in a great atmosphere coaching many of the states finest and most talented basketball players.
